Queensland Rail Project

Pro AV Solutions delivered a video wall replacement project across three rooms in our Rail Management Centre. From the moment we met Gavin and the team, the project came to life seamlessly. They worked with us under difficult time constraints, including night works and within a 24/7 operational environment. The quality of the products is high and improved the glare dramatically. Pro AV met all deadlines and exceeded expectations with their high level of engagement and communication. They were a pleasure to work alongside in this video wall replacement project.

The Rail Management Centre is a critical part of Queensland Rail’s infrastructure, operating 24/7. The modernized facility features a 24-meter Barco video wall and a 7-meter screen integrating security footage from 12,000 CCTV cameras. This setup enhances real-time operational efficiency and safety across the rail network.

Pro AV Solutions utilized 140 Barco LVD5512C displays across three walls. The implementation required precision engineering to adapt the new Barco LED LCD video walls to the existing structure and facade. Each wall upgrade was executed consecutively, with much of the work performed outside regular hours. The workspace had to be left clean and safe at the end of each shift, including the daily removal of hardware, tools, and ladders.

The result is a new operations center, one of the most advanced in the country, featuring an epic 24-meter-long video wall. This integrated, immersive display solution offers a real-time view of 850km of track and every train in the network, boosting safety and operational efficiency across the board.

Additionally, a 7-meter-long screen integrates security footage from 12,000 CCTV cameras, enhancing real-time response capabilities in routine monitoring and emergency situations.

The AVIA Awards are the premier audiovisual industry awards in the Asia-Pacific region, celebrating excellence and innovation in AV projects. Winners will be announced during the Integrate Expo 2024, held from August 21-23 at the ICC Sydney.
