THE BRIEF

Pro AV Solutions (NSW) recently completed a major refurbishment on Charles Sturt University’s Wagga Wagga Campus Joyes Hall.

Joyes Hall is the premium presentation space used for ceremonial graduations and caters for a wide assortment of other internal and external events.

Pro AV was engaged to design and implement the audiovisual, lighting and stage curtains in the space.

THE SOLUTION

The space was brought into the digital realm by replacing a multitude of analogue mixers, switchers, and equalisers with a single digital console. This upgrade allowed for a distributed speaker system capable of handling the array of performance requirements of the space.

The existing stage lighting was also replaced with modern network controlled LEDs and digital console.

To remove the need to set up and take down rental equipment for each event, a high-performance laser projector and motorised projection screen were permanently installed.

The system is controlled via AMX providing an intuitive user interface for the average user and more advanced options for staff brought in to run the events from the rear of the space.

Curtains were added to the stage rear and sides to provide the flexibility of concealing the organ for certain events and creates an easy way for staff and guests to move freely from one side up the stage to the other without distracting the presentation.
